Show recordings!!

Hey! Did you miss my show last week and are now your whole week is ruined because you didn't get to hear my voice and an hour of music from the UK? It's okay, because now you can listen to my shows on-demand! Every week I will post a recording of that week's show that you can listen to over and over and over and over until the end of time! (Or until the website I posted them on disappears.) These first two have a couple of minutes of the show before mine on them (you can fast-forward) because I'm lazy about editing. I will get better though, promise.

Here are shows from 3/19 and 4/2:
British Invasion 3/19
British Invasion 4/2

British Invasion 4/2: "I Get By With A Little Help From My Friends"

All Beatles all hour. That was my theme for this show. But, because it's radio1190, there was a twist. Instead of providing the same version of "I Want To Hold Your Hand" you've heard hundreds of times, I decided to scour the interwebs for the best covers I could find. I had a blast putting the show together so hopefully it was fun to listen to as well.

Here's the playlist:

Eleanor Rigby- The Patchyderm All-Stars
In My Life- Johnny Cash
Maxwell's Silver Hammer- Steve Martin

British Invasion 2/20: 'God Save The Queen The Fascist Regime"

Hey!!!! This week's featured artist was punk pioneers Sex Pistols. Here are some lyrics Amanda Palmer wrote about Sid Viscious in her amazing "Ukelele Anthem"

sid vicious played a four-string fender bass guitar and couldn’t sing
and everybody hated him except the ones who loved him
a ukulele has four strings, but sid did did not play ukulele
he did smack and probably killed his girlfriend nancy spungen

if only sid had had a ukulele, maybe he could have been happy
maybe he would not have suffered such a sad end
he maybe would have not done all that heroin instead
he maybe would’ve sat around just singing nice songs to his girlfriend

On that depressing note, Here's The Playlist! (and remember, drugs are bad)
